Waste Management

The Compact statute directs the Commission to provide information concerning low-level radioactive waste management needs, technologies, and problems. This will information be assembled and made available through this site in the coming months.

The Commission:

  • meets in public meeting with a quorum of the commissioners present
  • maintains its records available to the public
  • reports annually to the leadership of the States of Texas and Vermont
  • records its meetings
  • corresponds with the leadership of the party states
  • assembles and makes available public information on low level radioactive waste issues
  • may be contacted to request public information
