Section 675.23 Importation of Waste from a Non-Compact Generator for Management or Disposal

Texas Low-Level Radioactive Disposal Compact Commission has initiated a rulemaking process to consider the adoption of amendments to rules related to import of waste from a non-compact generator. The Commission has expressed its intention to develop a rule or rules or amendments to rules related to importation of waste for comment and proposed adoption and publication in the Texas Register at the earliest feasible date.

Background

Section 675.23 Importation of Waste from a Non-Compact Generator for Management or Disposal, effective February 8, 2011, was adopted at the January 4, 2011, meeting.

At the November 9, 2011, meeting of the Commission, a petition for rulemaking was considered.
