Justification for Exportation

Comanche Peak seeks the permanent disposal of the waste described herein pursuant to an existing long-term disposal agreement with Energy Solutions, LLC for low-level radioactive waste from Comanche Peak. Representatives of Comanche Peak have discussed with WCS management the position WCS will take regarding an export permit application sought by Comanche Peak covering the period from September 1, 2018 through August 31, 2019. David Carlson, President of WCS, has authorized Comanche Peak to represent to the Compact Commission that WCS does not oppose Comanche Peak's export permit application covering that time period.
