The Texas Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Compact Commission and its members have the powers and duties prescribed by the compact and the members of the commission are responsible for administering the provisions of the Texas Low Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Compact. The States of Vermont and Texas are the party states. Texas is the host state for a low level radioactive waste disposal facility.

The Commission resolved to accept petitions up until the effective date of any export rules that may be adopted in the future.
